Team Branding
Built around your team
Every team has its own story, personality and ambition. Some need a completely new identity, while others already have strong elements that need to be refined and brought together.
The visual direction is built around how the team wants to be seen, who it needs to reach and where the identity will be used. The goal is not to replace everything, but to create a stronger and more recognisable foundation.
Built to be used
Good branding should not only look strong in a presentation. It also needs to work in daily use.
Templates, clear visual rules and practical applications make it easier to communicate quickly without starting from zero every time. The team can remain consistent across the season, while still adapting the identity to different events, sponsors and content.
The result is a visual system that supports the team instead of making communication more complicated.
More than a logo
A team identity is shaped by more than one symbol.
Colour, typography, graphic elements, imagery and layout all influence how the team is presented. When these elements are developed as one system, every application starts to feel connected and communication becomes easier to recognise.
This creates a professional identity that can grow with the team throughout the season.
Made for every touchpoint
A strong identity should work wherever the team appears.
That can include social media, race announcements, result graphics, teamwear, sponsor documents, service vehicles, printed communication and the paddock environment.
Each application serves a different purpose, but they should all feel like part of the same team. This makes the identity stronger, clearer and more consistent over time.
What can be included?
A team branding project can include:
Brand strategy and visual direction
Logo design or logo refinement
Colour and typography systems
Social media templates
Race announcements and result graphics
Livery design
Teamwear and merchandise design
Sponsor presentations
Printed communication
Paddock and service-area applications
Brand guidelines
The final scope is built around what the team actually needs. Not every project requires every deliverable, so each project is tailored to the team, its goals and how the identity will be used.
FAQs
I already have a logo. Can you work with that?
1
Absolutely. A refresh starts from what you already have and makes it stronger, sharper and more usable across every situation. Nothing gets thrown away unless it needs to go.
How do I know what I need?
2
That is what the briefing is for. You tell us about the team, the driver, the sponsors and what you are trying to build. From there we figure out together what makes sense.
How long does it take?
3
Depends on the scope. A logo refresh typically takes one to two weeks. A full visual identity takes longer. We discuss timing during the briefing so there are no surprises.
What do I actually get at the end?
4
Everything you need to use the identity straight away. Vector files for print, versions for digital and social media, dark and light backgrounds. If you need something specific for a printer or sponsor deck, just say so.
Can this be extended to teamwear or merchandise later?
5
Yes. Once the identity exists it can go on anything. Teamwear, caps, posters, race suits. That is the point of building a proper identity instead of just a logo.
What does it cost?
6
Every project is different. Send us your brief and we come back with a proposal that fits the scope and size of the project.
Steve Bécaert
For Steve Bécaert, IMAGO developed a bold visual direction that extended far beyond the Škoda Fabia R5 itself. The livery, race suits, promotional poster and photography were brought together around the playful identity of A&D Trucks & Trailers, creating a team presence that felt unconventional, coherent and unmistakably different from a standard rally programme.
The Ginger One
The Ginger One already had a distinctive name, colour palette and personality. IMAGO helped strengthen that foundation by developing a clearer visual direction across photography, livery and selected brand applications. The result gives Thomas Martens a more consistent and recognisable presence, while preserving the character that made the project different from a traditional rally team from the start.
