Livery Design: Jurriaan de Back — Porsche 992 GT3 Cup

Creating a modern Porsche identity through bold colour blocking, flowing geometry and controlled asymmetry

For Jurriaan de Back’s Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, IMAGO developed a completely new livery in response to his preference for something modern, clean and visually controlled. With no sponsors or existing team identity to accommodate, the Porsche itself became the starting point for every graphic decision.

Sunflower yellow, matte anthracite and white were combined through large flowing surfaces, sharper interruptions and fine outline details. The limited colour palette keeps the design coherent, while the contrast between broad shapes and smaller graphic accents gives the livery enough depth to remain interesting from every angle.

Asymmetry without losing balance

The bonnet and roof move away from a completely mirrored composition, with the colour fields and directional lines taking a different path across each side. This controlled asymmetry introduces movement and prevents the design from becoming too predictable, while the overall proportions remain balanced. The result is a livery that feels simple at first glance, but reveals much more structure when viewed from above or up close.

Designed around the surfaces of the 992

The graphics follow the wide arches, low roofline and sculpted side profile of the Porsche rather than covering them with unrelated shapes. Yellow creates the main visual movement, white opens up the centre of the car and anthracite anchors the design around the front, roof and rear. Fine line details connect these larger areas and add a more technical finish without overcrowding the bodywork.
