Livery Design: Lander Depotter — Volkswagen Polo R5
Giving both sides of the crew their own colour identity within one deliberately connected livery
For Lander Depotter’s Volkswagen Polo R5, IMAGO created a plotted wrap that brought the colours of both crew members together in one coherent design. Purple, orange and yellow represented Lander, while blue, red and orange were used for Thibaut.
Because the wrap was created for a single rally, the design had to remain realistic in production without losing its visual impact. Bright colour contrasts were used to give the car a strong presence during the dark and often grey conditions of November.
Continuing Lander’s visual language
The sharp, modern linework was developed in line with the liveries previously created for Lander. Rather than introducing an entirely new style for one event, the Polo continued an established design direction while adapting it to a different car, crew and colour combination.
Two colour directions, one connected design
Each side of the car was given its own palette, reflecting the identity of either driver or co-driver. The shared orange and consistent graphic structure connect both sides, preventing the result from feeling like two separate liveries.
