Translating Motul’s identity into a technical and aggressive livery with a more refined graphic layer

For Lasse Karlshøj’s Peugeot 208 Rally4, IMAGO created a completely new livery built around the recognisable red, white and black colours of Motul. The design needed to feel technical and aggressive, while still carrying enough refinement to avoid becoming visually too hard.

Sharp directional graphics give the car its main structure, while finer contour lines, layered patterns and subtle tonal details add depth throughout the gloss full-print wrap. This combination creates a livery with a clear competition character, but also enough detail to reward a closer look.

Sharp structure with a softer graphic layer

Angular forms and strong colour divisions give the 208 Rally4 its aggressive stance. Around them, flowing outline graphics and repeated line details introduce a more refined layer, creating contrast between the bold overall silhouette and the finer elements within the print.

Motul as part of the design

Rather than placing the Motul identity on top of an unrelated layout, its colours and visual character became the foundation of the complete composition. The large branding areas are integrated into the movement of the graphics, allowing the sponsor to remain central without interrupting the flow of the car.
