Capturing the full rhythm of Spa Rally, from winter atmosphere to the final podium

As official event photographer for Spa Rally 2025, IMAGO documented the complete event across Division 1, Division 2 and Regularity. The coverage followed the rally from scrutineering and shakedown through every stage of the weekend, ending only after the final competitor had reached the podium.

Beyond the competition itself, the focus was on the atmosphere surrounding the event. Large crowds, changing winter light, service moments and the emotions of drivers, teams and spectators were brought together in one complete visual story.

Warmth within the winter setting

Although Spa Rally takes place during the darker days of the year, the event is defined by a strong and welcoming atmosphere. The photography balanced cold conditions and low winter light with the warmth created by packed spectator areas, team interactions and the emotions surrounding the finish.

From first preparations to final celebrations

The assignment covered every important phase of the rally, including scrutineering, shakedown, stage action, service, regroup areas and podium ceremonies. Following all three divisions made it possible to create a broad overview of the event rather than focusing only on the leading competitors.
